Downer, one of our oldest companies, has a new brand across its operations, together with a brand message: relationships creating success.
Downer NZ’s CEO Cos Bruyn says; “Downer has a long and proud history in New Zealand, stretching back to the formation of the Public Works and Post & Telegraph Departments in the 1870s. Our company derives its name from Arnold Downer, a Wellington engineer who established Downer & Co in 1933.
“This company and our brand have been built by bringing together teams of great people to deliver excellent work for our customers, including most of New Zealand’s local government councils and authorities.
“Now is the right time to take our brand to a new level. We believe that if we can help our customers to be successful then we will be successful. Relationships are at the heart of how we think and do business.”
Bruyn says Downer’s tyre tread symbol had served the company well since it was introduced about 15 years ago, but the company is now about much more that.
“Our new brand sends a strong signal about who we are and what we do today. It is fresher, more modern, and highlights our commitment to building and sustaining relationships.”
