*Having a break on this subdivision job in the USA is a Caterpillar D7E powershift model fitted with a Cat D7 bulldozer.⁣

⁣
Caption: Pre-1950 Buda powered TS-300 self loading in the cut. Due to the extreme age of these machines now, colour photos of original LaPlant-Choate yellow painted machines are practically non-existant. The two spare reels of cable at the back of the bowl are noteworthy⁣

Caption: Pre-delivery shot of a brand new TS-300 again showing the very art-deco radiator surround. This machine also has a suspension seat and is highly unusual. Note where the cables pass on the bowl spreader yoke, right behind the operator. Scary!⁣

*Caterpillar originally started out supplying machinery for agriculture and that is exactly what this turbocharged D7 17 a series machine is used for.⁣

Caption: Very early production model LaPlant-Choate TS-300 dumping at speed on the fill. Note the high apron opening, ideal for ejecting claggy material and the somewhat “art-deco” style of the radiator surround. Also interesting is the suspension seat – this was not offered on the TS-300 and must be an aftermarket item.⁣
