Caption: Michigan 210 gets a shunt from an Allis-Chalmers HD-21 on this North Carolina road realignment job. Material, as can be seen, is fairly sticky red clay that has coated the scraper’s rear end quite well. The narrowness of the operator’s compartment is very apparent⁣

Caption: Beautiful study of a very early production Euclid S-24 belonging to Horvitz Construction of Cleveland, Ohio. Horvitz bought eleven S-24s to work on a stretch of Interstate 90, part of the Ohio Turnpike, in 1962. Note the single exhaust stack and cable operated apron, an identifying feature of the early 39LOT series S-24s. #classicmachines #contractormagazine #scrapers #euclid
