Caption: An early Caterpillar 633 engaged in land levelling in the USA. The debris guard is still in place, comforting seeing the machine has no cab or ROPS. The photo gives a good sense of the brute elegance of the machine.⁣

Caption: Although this first series 633 has been parked up for a while, it is more than capable of a good days work. The machine has been fitted with a locally built cab and a muffler (which could use some TLC!). The debris guard has been removed from the top of the elevator. ⁣

Caption: For model collectors, this is where the Terex ADT story started with NZG’s model of the iconic 2366 ADT that was released around 1985. It is still not a bad little model, somewhat light on detail but the shape is bang on. The only downside is the tyres which are a little spindly in appearance. ⁣

Caption: Like a phoenix from the ashes, Terex’s ADT line became Rokbak in 2021 when Terex sold the ADT line to Volvo. Shown here is a Rokbak RA30, 30 ton capacity ADT. Rokbak chose to stick with Scania as its preferred powerplant and the RA30 has a 344 horsepower, 6-cylinder, stage 5 emission standard Scania DC9 diesel under the hood. 6-cylinder⁣

Caption: Last of the pure Terex ADT’s were the TA300 and TA400. Having evolved over a 25 year period, the new trucks bore little resemblance to the former 2366. The TA400 shown here had a 443 horsepower Scania DC13 diesel under the hood and a 6-speed Allison powershift transmission and could haul almost 42 tons ⁣
