caption: In a publicity stunt to emphasize the lifting strength of their Model C Tournacrane, LeTourneau Australia lifted an Allis-Chalmers HD-19 completely off the ground.⁣
The machine in this configuration was pretty much at the total lifting capacity of the Tournacrane (20 tons), which is why the blade has been removed.⁣

The headlights in the radiator guard are noteworthy, Allis-Chalmers being the only manufacturer of the period to recess its lights out of harms way.⁣

caption: Great quantities of Vickers-Onions towed scrapers were imported into New Zealand in many sizes during the late 1940s and 1950s. The most numerous was the model 15-21 (shown) which had a heaped capacity of 20 cubic yards.⁣

Caption: Remarkably, a 1:50 scale model of the Allis-Chalmers TS-562 is available to add to your collection. It is a multi-media model (resin/white metal/rubber) manufactured by EMD Models and comes in Allis-Chalmers orange paint. This colour was dropped by 1964 in favour of highway yellow, ending an era.⁣
