Caption: If you needed a really serious ripper, you need look no further than CRC-Kelley who made some of the most vicious looking rippers your author has ever seen. This deep ripping example is fitted to an Allis-Chalmers HD-41, itself, no small beast. ⁣

Caption: Ateco (American Tractor Equipment Company) manufactured a very wide range of attachments including hydraulic rippers to suit all manufacturers machinery. This is an Ateco ‘Vyba’ model, mounted on the rear of an early (1960s vintage) Michigan 275 wheel loader. Ateco seem to have vanished without trace sometime in the 1990s. ⁣

Caption: Wooldridge Manufacturing offered three different models of cable operated ripper depending on what its customers required. This is a model RS-3, smallest of the three models, designed for use behind tractors of 70 horsepower or greater. Wooldridge manufactured these up until they were bought out by Curtiss-Wright. ⁣

Caption: The Baker Manufacturing Co., were a preferred supplier to Allis-Chalmers right up until 1955. They made only one type of towed ripper, the model 500, designed for use behind an Allis-Chalmers HD-19 or HD-20. The model 500 was discontinued in 1951.⁣
